10-Lap Consistency Challenge

How consistent are you? The August challenge focuses on riding consistency. The key to success in this challenge is aiming for minimal time variance between different laps. Outright speed is not a factor in calculating a good consistency score. This challenge isn't easy! Good luck, and we'll see you at the track!

You can start at the beginning of the month or join in the last week. It's totally up to you. Learn more about how difficult it is to get a perfect consistency score here. A 50 is reasonably achievable if you have the stamina to complete ten laps, but we've never seen a perfect score after sampling 100,000 sessions. Do you have what it takes to top our leaderboard?

Tips for completing this challenge

This challenge isn't easy, especially if you aren't used to longer motos so we've put together a few tips for you.

  • Ride at a comfortable pace you can maintain for a minimum of 10 laps. You don’t get extra credit for doing your moto at 100% pace.
  • For a 2-minute lap, you have about 4 seconds of variance in lap times to play with and still have a score above 50. It is a smaller variance on shorter tracks and a larger variance on longer laps.
  • You must complete a minimum of 10 laps, but only the 8 fastest are used for scoring. This allows you to throw away two bad laps. An example might be a warm-up lap or lap with traffic.
  • If you still have energy at the end of 10 laps, do a couple extra laps to increase your chances of being consistent. The more laps you complete, the better your odds become.
  • Carefully read the Rules in the tab below to be sure you don’t waste any valuable ride time and effort.

To Participate

  • You must have public laps enabled. You can manage this from the LITPro app (see full instructions). Or ask us for help.
  • Laps must be completed on a circuit track (same start and finish line)

How you are Scored

  • Complete a minimum of 10 laps per session
  • Of those 10 laps, the 8 most consistent laps are used to generate your score (you get 2 free laps)
  • NO STOPPING ON THE TRACK! Anything that looks like cheating will get you disqualified
  • Speed is not a factor in your score, this is only about consistent lap times
  • Hiding laps and partial laps count, so minimize your mistakes!
  • Circuit tracks only (start and finish line must be the same)
  • Unlimited attempts at a better score throughout the challenge

How to Check Your Score

  • You’ll receive an email with your computed score on each day you ride
  • Or launch the LITPro App and go to the “Summary” tab for a particular session and view it
    how to check your 10-lap consistency score

NON-QUALIFYING

What does this mean? Most likely it means you didn't completely match the criteria of the challenge in your session. For example, these must be 10 complete laps (no cutting segments out), and the laps must be on MX or SX style tracks. If you think we've made a mistake just let us know.

HIDDEN

What does this mean? It most likely means you didn't enable public laps. To help ensure the privcy of our athletes we now require your hot laps be public to participate in LITPro Challenges. Launch the LITPro App and enable public laps there (see full instructions) or ask us for help.
